1. How can new students become library members?
New students are automatically registered as library members; there is no need for a separate registration process.

3. How can I use the remote circulation and renewal services of the Central Library?
Enter the Library Portal via the university’s main website and log in to the “Circulation System”. Enter your student ID (as the Membership/Barcode number) and your National ID (as the password). For faculty members, the membership number, barcode, and password are all the National ID.

4. What are the loan quotas and durations?

5. What should I do if a book is lost or damaged?
If a borrowed book is lost, damaged, or otherwise rendered unusable, the user must provide a replacement copy (the latest edition) within one month. If the book is rare or unavailable, the user is required to provide financial compensation. For new books damaged by the user (e.g., liquid damage, as determined by the Circulation Desk staff), the user must purchase a brand-new copy.
- Compensation Rates: For Farsi resources, the fine is 3 times the current market price; for Latin resources, single-copy books, reference books, periodicals, and CDs, the fine is 5 times the current market price.
- Multi-volume sets: If a single volume of a multi-volume set is lost and the publisher does not sell individual volumes, the user must pay half the current price of the full set.
6. How can I pay overdue fines?
Fines can be paid in person at the Circulation Desk or online via the Library Revenue Portal.
- Fines: Based on the automated messaging system, the fine for books reserved by other members is 500 Tomans per day, and 200 Tomans per day for non-reserved books.
7. Can I renew books through the system if they are overdue?
Yes, provided that the book has not been reserved by another member. To renew, log in to the Library Portal, enter the “Circulation System” with your credentials, and if the item is not reserved, it will be renewed for the duration specified in the table in Question 4. 8. How can I check my outstanding fines?
Log in to the “Circulation System” via the Library Portal. Once logged in, your total fine for each book will be displayed next to the item.
9. If a desired book is not available in the library, how can I request it for the collection?
Students, faculty members, and staff can request books online or in person at the Circulation Desk. After approval by the relevant department representative, the book will be added to the purchasing list. Click [here] for the online request form.

11. Which databases are accessible for downloading Farsi articles at Quchan University of Industrial Technology?
The library has a subscription to the Civilica database (https://www.civilica.com). Access is possible from within the campus network or via the mobile data registered in the Golestan Educational System.
12. How can I access the full text of Farsi theses via IranDoc?
You can visit the IranDoc website and register for free to access 5 full-text theses per week. Please note that Master’s theses become available 18 months after defense, and PhD dissertations 30 months after defense. 13. How can I access the full text of Latin articles, books, and theses?
You can access Latin resources by registering in the MegaPaper database (https://megapaper.ir). Note that the initial registration must be done while connected to the campus network. A confirmation link will be sent to your email; after activating your account via that link, you can access the database remotely from off-campus.
14. How can I access the full text of Quchan University of Industrial Technology’s electronic theses?
